Jazz Jennings Hopes to Inspire Other Transgender Kids with New Picture Book
It's no surprise that growing up as a transgender kid wasn't easy for Jazz Jennings.
But the Florida-based teen made it through – and is sharing the lessons she learned with others.
Jennings, now 14, has coauthored a new children's book, I Am Jazz, and hopes it can assist other kids facing a similar struggle.

'Just Gender' screened in SAVE benefit at Colony Theatre in South Beach (with film trailer)

Members of TRUE were present at the premier of "Just Gender" on June 25th, 2014. Several members were featured in the documentary and some were on hand for the VIP cocktail party reception, screening and Q&A panel.

Transgender Day Of Remembrance 2012: 50 Transgender Icons
Today is the 14th International Transgender Day of Remembrance, a day when we remember those who have been victims of anti-transgender violence.
The event was started to honor Rita Hester who was murdered on November 28th, 1998. Hester's death launched the "Remembering Our Dead" web project in 1998 and a San Francisco candlelight vigil in 1999. Transgenderdor.org notes that her murder -- like most anti-transgender murder cases -- has yet to be solved.
